1.) A Widow For One Year
2.) A Prayer For Owen Meany
3.) Last Night at Twisted River
4.) The Cider House Rules
5.) Setting Free The Bears

Did you ever see the movie that was done from A Widow For A Year (The movie is The Door In The Floor)? I thought it was excellent. Only the first third of the book was done for the movie (which worked much better than trying to cram the entire book into the 2 hours). John Irving had good things to say about the movie.

Yes, I have. His best adaptation (the brief section that's adapted) yet.

“Owen Meany believed that “coincidence” was a stupid, shallow refuge sought by stupid, shallow people who were unable to accept the fact that their lives were shaped by a terrifying and awesome design – more powerful and unstoppable than the Yankee Flyer. (a train)”

-John Irving, A Prayer For Owen Meany
