Since the birthday calendar appears to be todash---- here is a thread to wish all those born in the month of June a Happy Birthday.

You know what? Why can't we just do this from now on? Each month post a happy birthday fill -in-the-blank with the month babies and put the responsibility of a more personalized happy birthday on the birthday kid? All June babies can come to this thread and say, "Hey! thanks! It's my birthday!" and then we can all give individual people more love.

It's asking a lot for the same 3 people to be responsible for 10,000 subscribers. (Or whatever the number is)

Sounds like a plan, might also save Jordan some extra work too.

Speaking for me personally, I kinda like the individual threads. I talk to folks on a few forums/threads, but don't visit every section, so if it's a birthday person that I don't know, I do a little research and get to know them a little better in order to find a special picture that is just for them. Some folks are shy and won't want to admit it's their day. Plus, we do get a few comments like, "Wow, I was having a bad week and this is a great surprise!" However, if the calendar is lost in translation, and getting it back would require more effort than it's worth, the I think the monthly birthday thread is at least a nice, small gesture!

and I totally hear you there. I've loved seeing my birthday thread and knowing so many people were taking the time to send me well wishes. I was just thinking of you guys who have been responsible month after month. Pegasus was our go-to girl for years and I always appreciated her time and thanked her-- she WAS my birthday calendar so I wouldn't miss anyone. But now with everyone's busy schedule, I think it is getting harder to keep it going. I always feel bad when a call goes out for someone to do the calendar and just a handful consistently step up.

Plus, I always wonder about wishing people who don't participate a happy birthday. It's great karma to send out those greetings, it's a lovely thought to include everyone and hope that they see the wishes and come back to sit a spell with us, but -- that's a lot of people being cherry picked for recognition. So, do everyone? Do no one? Do active participants only?

For the past few months we have been including older members , and anyone who has been posting within 30 days.
I guess it is up to Jordan as to the difficulty to re establishing a b'day calendar.

I'm on board with whatever, I was just throwing that out there. And with that, let's keep this thread happy!

You're right - before that it had just been Pegasus full time so that must have been taxing on her.

Gemini birthdays eh? Andy is turning the big six four on June 17th. He does not come here though and does not do Facebook either, so no need to post any messages.

Actually I think it's May 22nd to June 22nd or something similar - then we are into Leos.

No kidding! There were a LOT of people on that calendar and some were one hit wonders (join one day and then that would be the last time they posted). It was very difficult to choose and I always wondered if I overlooked someone if I would unintentionally hurt someone's feelings.

So yeah - guess it is better this way. :encouragement::m_thinking:

And we can still go to their Profile Page to wish someone a Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday June Babies!
