Love the Second Dish, you have posted *drool*
The first pic is how the Hangi (the second pic) is cooked. You dig a hole, light a fire and get it going really well, then lay rocks in the fire and when the rocks are good and hot and the fire has gone right down to nothing, you lay the food in flax in a basket over the hot rocks and cover the food with more flax leaves and then fill the hole in with just a little gap, the food is slowly smoked and cooked from the heat of the rocks, it takes most of a day to get right.

Sitting in the passenger seat with a teenager driving is definitely an experience! I now understand why my dad kissed the ground after his first car trip with me :biggrin2:
Been through it three times...

The girl was the only one with lead foot...

Think boys still feared their daddy enough and stayed within the speed limits...

Never grabbed that bar but did put a dent or two in floorboards mashing imaginary brake pedal...

Aye - Sundrop and thekidd12 - I taught our oldest to drive, and she's a horrible driver. She's 27 now and still terrifies me. We put our son through driving school and he's the safest and best driver in the house. Our youngest, now 15, starts driving school next week. I'll go without new shoes for a year to afford it if I have to . I cannot teach a teenager to drive ever again. Plus she's the volatile one. I can't do it.

Sundrop I am so excited for you about your new job venture!!!! Congratulations!

cat in a bag Baby watch!! So exciting. Prayers for mom and baby!

Hi everyone. I am still alive. I got word last Thursday that my seasonal job at crate and barrel is over, and they did not get a budget where they can keep any of the seasonal staff. So I am a bit bummed out about it, but I whant to look at some more career planning and see what else is out their, not shur if I whant to go back to retail. If I do go back to school or get some more training or something I am in a good position to do it as I am still at home living with my mom and I have basic food and shelter. I am thinking of like an info booth/security position or something

I looked at her speedometer one time and she was doing better than 80. I asked if she was comfortable with that. and she said yeah.
I learned that she also enjoys passing 18-wheelers at about mach 10. Heaven help me!

Well, in her defense, I tend to floor it to pass 18-wheelers, too! It's important to get around them as quick as possible, before they decide to move lanes!

Does your state have any rules that a new driver loses their license for a time if they get a ticket within the first year? Maybe that would make her think twice about going too fast. Or, maybe the threat of losing car privileges imposed by mom if she gets a speeding ticket regardless of what the state does? Not to mention what it would do to your insurance. :icon_eek:
