Just got an update, she has slowed down. Only at a 5 now. Brandon said they were having trouble with the epidural but I am not clear if he meant trouble placing it or if it just isn't helping the pain.
I so very much appreciate you all keeping me company and worrying/laughing/playing along!!! Means a whole lot to me!!
Marti's mom just called me too and offered for Marti's sister to come sit with the kids so I could go to the hospital. But I promised to not be a pest so I said thank you for thinking of me but I will wait. I think Brandon and Marti will appreciate that. I hope so anyway!

I have been reading a Jeeves and Wooster book called The Inimitable Jeeves and all of this reminds me of it - they would bet on various unusual things (like how long the minister's sermon would last and would list the local ministers as if they were horses in a race!)
So - having said that I think the main thing we all wish is for a healthy baby and a satisfying/safe delivery for Mom. Those epidurals are notorious for slowing down labour and delivery. (((((Marti))))) [and Brandon too!]
