Congrats on quitting smoking and best of luck on the weight loss! Sounds busy your way! What event is Ali running? My daughter was supposed to have her first meet today, but it was cancelled because their timing equipment is broken? Really? They can't get a bunch of coaches with stop watches??Good morning all.
Been pretty busy. Babysat Sage and Spencer a while on Monday afternoon so Marti could go to her 6 week checkup. 6 weeks already! Then we went and looked around our new Marshalls store. It opened last Friday. Then had a parent meeting at Ali's school, she is participating in track. First meet has already been rescheduled, was supposed to be next Tuesday but there is still too much snow on the track and field. So it is pushed back a week.
Today I have to go renew my drivers license. Keep forgetting to do that. It is good til Sunday. And I am going to go buy paint, I think. So we can get going on that room swap we have been planning for 2 years.
But first, going to take a walk. I am told my thyroid meds are good now, with rotating between 2 doses, every other day. But still gaining weight. I know part of that is, I have quit smoking. Today is day 46. I am using a nicotine patch and will step down to step 3, the final step, tomorrow. I am proud of myself, really did not think I could ever do it. And it is hard, but getting easier. But now this extra weight I have found needs to go. Part of me says look, you are just a squishy grandma. It's ok, you've earned it. But the vain part of me hates it. Because I am not only a squishy grandma.
Anyway, long post. But that is what is happening here. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day. Big hugs and positive vibes to all!
I don't think her events have been nailed down yet but the shorter, sprint races for sure and the coaches have her doing long jump events too.Congrats on quitting smoking and best of luck on the weight loss! Whoa! Yes, that's scary! Kids don't get learner's permits until 15 1/2 here, then have to complete a driver's ed course as a high school elective or at an outside facility that includes X hours of behind the wheel training before getting their driver's license. Good luck to both of you!!He's a great kid, very smart academically, but.........he's 14.........and sometimes trips over his own shoes........and sometimes looks at me when I ask him do more than one thing at once with a complete and total vapor lock look on his face......and acts like I'm asking him to save humanity when I ask him what he wants to eat from Sonic.....SONIC!.....and I'm going to put this kid in charge of a 3k pound guided missile?.....lol
