Berlin isn`t this fabulous place, you know from TV.
Berlin is a pool for Poverty, Drugs, Crime.
The only time I went to Germany we stayed in the hotel that the flight crew used as my ex Frank was a flight steward - this was way back in the mid 80s. I didn't know Berlin was such a scuzzy place! Thanks for the info - I'll stay away from there if I ever get the chance to travel again :frog::encouragement:

p.s. This was in CFB Baden-Soellingen

Close enough for me

- today Josh and I are going to see the podiatrist for his big toe on the left - I ended up having to pay the full bill as our Blue Cross said we had maxed out our allowance for podiatry. (big sigh) - Guess we should have waited until January 1st but it didn't occur to me to check with them first. :m_cash::big_money:

Thats' crap, could he not get it done publicly?
Sorry if I'm being naive. Here in Ireland you don't need health insurance and can get seen publicly, you might just have to wait a while.

Since I retired I had to sign on for a new Blue Cross plan which does not ever cover dental! Buggers - I guess they consider it to be "elective surgery" as having ingrown toenails is not life threatening.

We have a good system here in Canada when it comes to health care but I think it's not quite as good as the one in the UK (C'est la vie)

Gotta sign off! Time to drive to the doctor's :m_cruise::m_bye:

Ingrown toenails are hardcore. All the best, hope it goes well.

(I'll let the UK comment slide this time......)

After reading the part in Hearts in Atlantis where he describes the card games I feel like he used some of his own personal experiences in this book - that was a cool book - I loved it.

The fiction book? I really should read that one. I enjoy his insight into his real life. I get a kick of when his kids start to talk about it as wee
