See there, s’what I’m kinda talkin about. Or, to flip-flop what you said, a possible bad relationship could (and probably would) ruin a damn good job. As ol Tony Soprano used to say, I don’t $#!* where I eat. Been down that road a time or two, ain’t in no hurry to try such foolishness again. Hell, even if the relationship doesn’t go south, working a factory job with yer significant other usually makes you sick of each other. It’s just bad business all the way around—unprofessional—and should be avoided.

And cats all tell me aw, Muskie, yer thinkin about it too much. Well, you’re damn right I am. Somebody has too. I’m getting too old fer blind leaps into who-knows-whatwherewhywhoa. Not where my paycheck is concerned. Got mouths to feed, bills to pay, comics to bag-n-board (shaddup, GNTL). Don’t need any high school drama, nawp nawp.

But damn...those eyes...my guts are operating on some primal, instinctual level that ain’t got nuthin to do with my brains. Gotta use old zen koan tricks to ignore this sorcery. Crom, grant me strength...

Happy Hump Day,

I tell you guys...I am convinced we have Captain Trips here. A slow working Captain Trips. Scott and I both are still fighting whatever this respiratory thing is. We feel better a few days, then boom. Right back down again. We've both been to the doctor (2x each) but both got different diagnoses and treatments and neither one was worth a poop. It seems everyone in town is going through the same thing though. Is it all over the country or just in my lucky corner?

Kids get the sniffles and bounce right back thank goodness. At least they are not down too.

Thanksgiving was nice. My dad and stepmom made it. They had a good snowstorm and thought they might not get to come but they did. Had some not great roads to deal with but I was so happy to see them. Went too fast. Then we had a blizzard over the weekend that really wasn't much of one and they got what we were supposed to get, in Nebraska and SE Wyoming.

Have gotten a start on the Christmas shopping. Tree is not up yet. Ha. Maybe tonight. Hope to finish up shopping this weekend and then just enjoy the season. With no irritating cough or congestion.

Him every i a, still alive, just working at galaxy land. Things are going well. Nothing really to,creppy during normal business hours but their is a happy face ballon in one of the roof rafters way up high in the ceiling. And it’s weird as the happy face on the ballon is facing down like it’s looking at you. it creeps. me out.. Sigh, some bad news on this end. My work ends at new year. After that i'm unemployed. economy reasons. The boss for the archive wants desperately to keep me but her boss says no money. Sigh. She says that she thinks that she might convince her bosses by spring or so but it looks like i must face at least 3 months of nothing to do (or as i prefer to look at it not having do get up in the morning). But i forget all that for the moment for tomorrow it is the christmas party at work and i'm going all in!
