Hey Y'all, and Happy New Year!!! ♥
Sorry I've been mostly absent lately. I have been trying to check in and get caught up, and will eventually accomplish that goal.
So much is happening in Sunnyville lately. I've made the decision to leave my current salon in March. Things have become unbearable there, and three of us are leaving together, and two others have plans to leave as well. So I've been busy with planning, contacting clients, etc. Also playing taxi for the Munchkin is taking up soooo much time. She's working on getting in the driving hours, though. She drove us to the coast and back over the Christmas break, and only scared me the one time......took an off ramp at about 70 and didn't even act like she'd ever heard of brakes......but other than that, she's doing pretty well.

Enjoy the relative quiet while you can, I'll be back to my old chatty self before you know it! :biggrin2:
So nice to see you come back! Good luck with the relocating etc. I'm sure you will do very well for yourself!

How exciting!!! Best of luck on the move!! ((Sunny))

Hehe - I can laugh about the munchkin driving for another 6 months till my kiddo has her learner's. oh wait!

Sitting in the passenger seat with a teenager driving is definitely an experience! I now understand why my dad kissed the ground after his first car trip with me :biggrin2:

Good luck. Will you be opening up your own salon?
I'd even checked yesterday to see if you'd been logged in recently as I'd missed seeing your posts. Sorry to hear things have gotten bad at your salon. Any more thoughts on starting your own?
I did look into opening my own salon. However, I still want that inspector position and owning a salon in the same county where you're inspecting would be a conflict of interest. The owner at the new salon understands that I'm applying for the inspector job, and might have to change the rental arrangement a little if that happens. The new place is smaller, but it's well decorated and clean. Only room for six stylists, and since I'm bringing two with me, the owner is giving me a reduced rental rate. I know that every place has its quirks, but so far, I'm calling it win win.

I still remember over 20 years later with child #1 one sharp turn where I nearly put a hole through the floorboard trying to step on the brakes even though I knew I didn't have any on the passenger side. There may have been screaming SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN involved, too.
I had to laugh because when we went around the curve at mach 10, all I could do was grab the OS Bar, and yell "brakes!"......funny thing I noticed too, when I grab the OS Bar, my feet automatically raise themselves into the seat......:biggrin2::laugh:

Had to look that one (O.S. bar) up; yup, that about covers it. :biggrin2:
