Wow, you are really good! I enjoyed your song so much! Could you tell me about the Smule app you used?

Thanks, Danie! Of course...go to the App Store and if you type in either “Smule” or “Sing” It should pop up. It’s free to download. You create a username, and you are given one free song as a solo that you can choose. If you just want to be a non-paying member, you can search for songs that other people have already put on there as content, and a lot will have a part already sung, so you can join and do duets or group songs. The longer you are on there, you will get invites from people you “sang with” in the past. You can private message others on there, too. Once in awhile, if you search for a song, you’ll see something like “Solo for you!” in the description, and that means whatever member shared the song left it all unsung so you can join and sing all of it (that’s what I did here). People will do that to get more followers. I don’t know if there are any perks to having thousands of followers, but...Anyway, there is an option to be a VIP member, which of course costs a (ridiculous) amount of money. It allows you to make a custom profile page and choose any song to be a solo for you, or sing whatever part you want and then share for other members to join in the parts you left unsung. I admit I did sign up for it for a little while, but it is $20 a month, so it depends on if you think you’ll use it enough to make it worth it. You also get a bit more control on the special effect settings if you are a VIP, but all members get a few special effects that enhance your voice.

Now, all you need to sing are regular earbuds or headphones, and the speakers in your phone will pick up the sound. Some people, as you’ll see if they choose to do the live video option, have elaborate microphone setups and spaces where the background noise is controlled—they are serious about it! (It will pick up loud noises in the background, to be sure! I’ve had a few times where I’ve gone into the basement, and in the middle of the song, the water heater turns on and ruins it, lol). But what I found is that a pair of ear buds that have the microphone/volume control thingie on the cord does just fine. Just hold it out a bit from your face so you don’t get too much feedback.

I haven’t gone on there in a few months until last night, so there might be a few things added to the app that I didn’t cover. But it’s pretty easy to understand after you explore it for awhile. Hope you try it! :encouragement:

I made a bargain with a certain someone. She's yet to do her part. ;)
My part (male vocal) begins around 1:47. I've had a six pack so I'm feeling fearless, lol.

Doc Creed I had missed that one! You sang it beautifully and I swear you sound like someone famous but I cant think if who it is! Waiting for more.

Breathtaking Beauty right there! You remind me of Kristen Bell shes got nothing on you and you favor her as well. I put some love on it ❤ I used to go there a few years ago when my son would do duets with people from all over the world for pure enjoyment. Beautifully done and love to hear more!
Wow, thanks, you guys! You are all way too kind
Maddie, I’d love to hear you sing, too! And Doc Creed , yes, please, share some piano along with your singing! :jammin:
