We're just about a pregnancy away people! 
I now have an awesome excuse to convince Mr. Blue to make the trip because one of our best friends is moving back east in June. Hoping to tack on a couple of extra days for Bar Harbor too.

For some reason Maine 'calls' to me also. I don't know why. D*mn cold winters and short summers aren't my thing and Maine's got them but I just feel the need to be there. Maybe not to live but at least visit. I suppose I could afford to buy a single wide trailer out in those woods and retire.....Honestly, I want to see all of Maine because we plan to retire there but I especially want to have a legitimate excuse to say Bah Hahbah.

and I love short summers and especially cold winters but it's our retirement plan because the cost of real estate is the cherry on that damn near perfect sundae. We could buy a comparable house there for literally a tenth the cost of our house in Seattle.
The real estate prices is why I moved from the Seattle area to Spokane. You can pay 1/3 the price here in Spokane for a similar house in Seattle. I lived in a two bedroom one bath condo in Everett for 12 years that I paid $58,000 for and sold it for $158,000! Moved to Spokane and paid cash for my house.I know exactly why it calls to me
Yes, but the Summers there...oy vey. I just can't.
We have all four seasons in Spokane. Summers aren't all that bad. There were a handful of days when the temperature rose into the upper 90's and into the low 100's. Those are the days that I love to ride my bike and sweat off those Tillamook Ice Cream calories!!
