I tend to melt around 78.
Well, come on over to Maine next July for the King Kon 2018!

Bangor weather averages
Annual high temperature: 54.5°F
Annual low temperature: 33.8°F
Average temperature: 44.15°F
Average annual precipitation - rainfall: 41.91 inch
I don't want to discourage anyone, but those numbers aren't reflective of what it will be like during July. Because we have so many months of colder weather, that average high temperature is considerably lower than what July's temperatures are. This chart would be a better gauge of what to expect:

July

Average high in °F: 79
Average low in °F: 58
Av. precipitation in inch: 3.46

I don't see anything wrong with that!

Same! Looks like a pretty perfect Summer to me!

I Googled Summer in Bangor Maine and this is what popped up:

There was also some weird floating sculpture that was to be placed in Kenduskeag stream but perhaps that's an old story and it never happened?

From Bangor Daily News:

"Many commenters said they felt the renderings — which showed only one angle of the three-dimensional, abstract, floating fiberglass monument — brought to mind female genitalia."

Um. Ya think? :Oo:
To me, this image looks photo shopped as there aren't any 'red' ripples across the water in front of the, um, sculpture and the edges look fuzzy also. It just doesn't look right to me.

It's a welcome change from the usual phallic imagery portrayed in many sculptures. IMO, that's female genitalia.

Um, yeah, that one didn't get installed. I don't even remember hearing about it before. There is a fun park bench in that same section that I walk by every time I go to yoga class that people might want to check out when they're here, though. It was reportedly done as part of an art project by Bangor High School but I haven't found verification of that yet.

For some reason Maine 'calls' to me also. I don't know why. D*mn cold winters and short summers aren't my thing and Maine's got them but I just feel the need to be there. Maybe not to live but at least visit. I suppose I could afford to buy a single wide trailer out in those woods and retire.....

It’s because we love Stephen King. And fell like we have already lived in Maine. I too whant to do a Nova Scotia and Maine tour.
