There's two King's manias I don't share: baseball (I don't care at all) and rock music (I can't stand it). And two phobias I share completely: woman abusers and sadistic guys, and rats.

I share his fear of having my feet exposed when sleeping during the night. I just know the monster under the bed is going to grab me by the foot and haul me under.
I felt the same until I hit menopause. If my feet can't breathe, I will die. Smother or be eaten by the ghoul under the bed? I'm taking my chances with the ghoul.
Going through the change, you would probably be annoyed enough to kick the monster in the...err....bojangles.
My hubby has that fear too...Not me , I stick my feet out to let my body regulate temperature. But I tease my hubby (a little) telling him its because he used to listen to the greaseman (DJ) who had a schtick about the 'toe monster'.
I do share bsaeball and rock music. Also an extreme dislike of abusers, rats and sadists. Foot out from under the covers, my favorite way to sleep.
How can someone not like "rock music?" It's such a broad category! Really?
Really. You see, I'm a classical music fan and records collector, and I can't stand rock since the 50s on. Generally it bothers me. In best case, it bore me.
