noted. thanks for your replyPicking one is next to impossible, but I’ve always liked Grey Matter from Night Shift. A guy turns into a monster from drinking a bad can of beer....one of my biggest fears.

Noted. Thanks!Hi and welcome. One favorite is The Doctor's case because it is done in a Sherlock Holmes tone. Always enjoy detective stories.
Thank you!"The Jaunt" from Skeleton Crew is especially creepy.
Welcome to the Boards!
Thanks!I’ve always been fond of N from Just After Sunset. Being a bit OCD myself is probably why...
Thanks!“Longer than you think...”
I haven't. But I will. Thanks!"Mrs.Todd's Shortcut"..........have you read it?
Thanks!Crouch End - I remember liking the fact that it was outside America and the environment seemed otherworldly.
Right. Thanks!Greetings
"The Green Mile." You get six short stories for the price of one. When it was first released it came out in separate booklets and an argument could be made that each could stand alone as short stories.
Totally agree! Thanks! You have to include "Graveyard Shift", which I feel is the quintessential King horror tale.
OK. Thanks!....welcome, and all the best on the dissterpation thingy!!....I would put Survivor Type up as mine, just because it distills King's famous "go for the throat" nastiness early in his career.....
"Welcome"I haven't. But I will. Thanks!
All great ones. I almost mentioned Jerusalem’s Lot but was too frightened....Oh man, it's so hard to pick just one. I think I'd have a difficult time picking only 20.
A few of my favorites are:
Jerusalem's Lot, because it it the prequel to 'Salem's Lot....and vampire tales are my favorite tales of all.
Children of the Corn, because it's downright scary.
Sometime's They Come Back
Strawberry Spring
All these are from Night Shift.
Good call on The Boogeyman, Notaro! ST has been mentioned but Gramma is another good one.The Boogeyman is one that always creeped me out, Survivor Type and Gramma are another two favourites.
I thought the short storyOK. Thanks!
Wow! I can see that you're a true fan of Stephen King!Oh man, it's so hard to pick just one. I think I'd have a difficult time picking only 20.
