OK, new conversation topic.

You are working for the Tet Corporation, and you are tasked with assembling an All Star team to counter the Crimson King and his forces. You have the ability to pull five characters from any story in the SK library (including film or TV adaptations that might not have an actual novel tied to them.)

Of course, there are some rules. You can't pull someone already directly involved in a DT story (so no Patrick Danville or Ted Brautigan). You can reach into multiple levels of the Tower, so characters who died in their stories can be recalled . . . you just pull them before their deaths. You can't brainwash them (so if they are evil, you can't convert them to good just to help you, but you could assemble a team of evil characters if you think it would work.) You can only take five characters, but you could name one or two alternates if you really want to. Who do you choose and why? Also, what do you call this team? (Apologies to DC fans, but "Avengers" is more top of mind right now for the thread title than "Justice League" . . . but we can do better than that anyway, can't we?)

I'll put my team out there soon, but I don't want to bias the discussion with my own ideas from the start.

One thing to think about as you put your team together . . . how well will the characters interact with each other? A team of Abra Stone, Carrie White and Charlie McGee would pack a punch, but could they work together without killing each other or blowing up the world?
That would be on hell of a team!
I have to think on this get back to you soon........

OK, here is my team. Yes, you can see my childhood dungeons and dragons background in the composition.

Abra Stone - All the offensive firepower we need
Danny Torrance - good for scouting, and keeping Abra focused
Jack Sawyer (during Black House time, but before the end) - his ability to flip between worlds could be critical
John Coffey - Enormous potential as a healer
Mother Abigail Freemantle - the motivator, the link that can convince the others to join together and fight for good

Just missed the cut
Charley McGee - love the potential, but how long until the nosebleeds start?
Andy McGee - see above, I would take Charley and Andy together, like Abra and Dan

And for team name . . . how about Tet 19? I don't feel strongly about that, but I think it needs to have 19 involved, obviously. Otherwise, there has to be a better one out there.
