Really? - I thought the old audience participation thing was long gone(?!) I guess if enough fans got together they could revive it :encouragement:
(I've never experienced it myself but it was popular a few years back) :shame:
I think it still goes on at the Neptune Theater in the University District in Seattle. That's where I saw it years ago and there were always people dressed up in costumes and acting it out on the small stage in front of the screen. Ahhhh.......memories.......

Russia
Watched a Russian movie Metro (Subway). It's about a tragedy that happens in a Moscow subway when there appears a crack in the wall and the water from the river starts falling inside. People get trapped underground, many of them die... That's a really creepy movie, especially after those events that happened yesterday in one of our towns (two bombs exploded). That's very scary... And as much as I hate Russian movies, I liked this one, because it shows the things for real, how our government is ready to sacrifice people's lives for the sake of the city, how not willing people are to help others... That's our reality and here it is shown very well.

The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
Today I watched my favorite Xmas movie Home Alone. A movie that will never disappoint.
Oh yes. I saw Home Alone 1 and 2 over Christmas, just as I do every year, and will every year to come. The 1st 2 are brilliant, 3 and 4 were abominations.

Back to the Future 1,2, and 3 were on over Christmas too, they are also timeless classics I will continue to re-watch in years.

As for the last movie I watched, Severence was on earlier - a British kind of half comedy, half horror gore fest starring Danny Dyer (a complete love or hate actor - I love him) and Laura Harris (Daisy Addair in Dead Like Me).

That is scary stuff that happened in Russia - I saw it on the news. They are blaming Muslim terrorists at the moment. I hope it was not too close to your city Lina! Stay safe :concern:

Well, maybe only guys with young daughters, but I still like cartoons and fairy tales, so even if I didn't have a 10 year old daughter, I would have enjoyed it.
I may go to this movie today as it is cheap Tuesday and I don't plan on going out tonight to celebrate New Year's Eve. It is still darn cold out there but at least during the daylight you can see where you're going. Perhaps I will catch a matinee. (I only have a son at home but we can take his young girlfriend who is still a kid at heart) :redface-new:

You guys will love it. Disney is good at putting some adult humor in there for the adult who have to see their movies.

I just watched (most of) Pulp Fiction on the TV - how in the hell is that film 20 years old? There is just no way that feels like a 2 decade old film.
No crap, eh? I remember seeing that at the theatre in Edmonton when I was visiting there at Christmas time and it does not feel like 20 years ago! Oy vey!

Finally watched Lincoln yesterday. Daniel Day Lewis was amazing.
Yes, Lewis should get the Oscar this year for his portrayal of Lincoln. Fine, fine film. The watch ticking that you hear in the scene when Lincoln is leaning on the fireplace mantel is actually the ticking of the real watch of Lincoln's that is in a museum somewhere. Spielberg wanted to use the real watch in the scene but the museum folks wouldn't let him, so he recorded its ticking and used that in the film. Pretty amazing!

Oh, I thought he already won the Oscar for this role, in 2013!

That is pretty interesting about the watch ticking! The movie has made me want to read more about Lincoln. I was quite enamoured with his sense of humor as portrayed in the movie, and his quiet, calm demeanor as well. Pretty hard times to maintain a calmness about yourself, I would think!
