I do this! I take it personal. I don't know why. This movie made me react so strongly a certain way, why aren't you feeling it you neanderthal?
I know, I guess because we get our hopes high that others will share in our delight, horror, sadness, whatever the case may be. Sharing an experience or emotion can be bonding and it is a huge letdown when someone just 'doesn't get it'.

How I felt when my daughter was 'meh' about Cold Mountain. I love that movie *sigh*
Meant to tell you I just finished reading this a couple days ago. That guy can write beautifully. Really loved it. One of those books where you read a paragraph, then go back and reread just to enjoy its beauty.

I had watched the movie years ago, and recorded it today to rewatch. One can't go wrong with Jude Law.

EXACTLY. The man may have the morals of an alley cat (lol), but he's a damn fine actor. Plus Philip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland, Giovanni Ribisi, Brendan Gleeson, Natalie Portman, Kathy Baker... too many truly fine actors to mention here.

Annie Hall. Four stars, always a treat.

At the Circus. Ohhhh, Lydia, oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia? Lydia the TAH-ah-tooed lady...yes. Another treat. Four 'honk!'s.

A Quiet Place in the Country. ??? A young Franco Nero thinks his crumbling villa is haunted, goes crazy, and dismembers Vanessa Redgrave. Oh, wait, no he doesn't. Two meatballs.

Breakfast at Tiffany's. Watchable, I guess. George Peppard gets Audrey Hepburn in the end. I love it when a plan comes together. Bah, I pity the fool. You know it won't last. Two doughnuts.

Hannah and her Sisters. Well, it ain't no Annie Hall. Watchable, though. Two neurotics.

That's all I can remember right now.
