Saw San Andreas. A disaster movie thats pretty standard but i have always had i wekness for them so i enjoyed it. California is absolutely flattened!! I think the magnitude of the biggest one was 9.6 on the richter scale. And there was a series of them. The hooverdam shattered too and drowned Las Vegas.

Don't Breathe. I kept hearing how great it was--no way. What a moronic piece of crap. I feel dumber for having watched it--if my girls weren't having such a good time making fun of it, I would have turned it off at about 10 minutes in.

I agree with you it sucked sooooo badly, I was so disappointed!

 Ack! I liked it.

(Okay.
The ending should have happened wayyyyyy sooner and the old guy surviving just set it up for a sequel but for the time I was watching it, for me, was chilling and thrilling.
:)

Has anyone seen Get Out? Yay or Nay?

Hi!

Just finished watching Collateral Beauty

Retreating from life after a tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.

I'm guessing this is supposed to be a feel good movie or a it's-better-to-have-loved-and-lost-than-never-have-loved-at-all movie. Ermmmm...No.

I'm not feeling especially well but

Loss, pain, sorrow wrapped up in pretty paper and a big bow is still loss, pain, and sorrow.

I cried. I cursed at the screen and I even flipped the bird to some of the characters. :glare:

 Well you are not Alone because A LOT of people like it, I think, my disappointment was in my hyped up expectations for it and finding a different setting than I thought it was going to be, it was chilling and thrilling though, the part that stuck with me most was when
transfusing that disgusting stuff
ewww, but its probably just me. (and ski mom, lol)

That was just over the top. What got me was
1) how unbelievably STUPID the main characters were; 2) how unbelievably STUPID the director thought the audience was. The way he made sure to focus in on everything that should have been an 'aha!' moment irritated the hell out of me: "See! There's a gun under the bed! See! She dropped a piece of glass on the floor! And now a close up of them taking their shoes off! Wonder what will happen? *nudge nudge* And See! The blind guy has tools on a pegboard! Hey, did you notice the hammer?! I'll focus on it for a few seconds to make sure you didn't miss that bit of foreshadowing! And look! there are bars on all the windows, except a convenient one without (but please don't notice that a guy later fell out of a window that not 10 seconds before had the morons yelling about how there were bars on on all the windows and they were trapped)! But don't look at the windows that are clearly showing daylight when it's supposed to be 2 am, and don't question why a blind guy turned on lamps that could provide spooky lighting when they're inevitably knocked over. And now be scared that a blind guy will track a stranger across the country without knowing anything about her except that she wears size 6 boots."
I was disgruntled, to say the least--lol. I really like 3 of the 4 main actors, but UGH.

 omg what a Flashback!!! I couldn't get past the thought of the smell of that disgusting old boots of this guy stumbling around in the dark smelly house all that time in the most dismal boring setting. to realize it had all that humor in it too. Your synopsis kills it and gives it new life at the same time ! sooo Hilarioussss.

War Dogs - Miles Teller, Jonah Hill

Based on the true story about a pair of young guys who tapped into the lucrative defense contract world of supplying arms to Afghanistan. You may remember the news story a few years back of two guys selling illegal ammunition to the US government. This movie is about them. Two longtime friends stumbled onto a way to be middlemen between weapons manufacturers and the US government. They had absolutely no background in this kind of thing but they managed to secure several multi million dollar contracts with the US government. Everything was going well until they got greedy and bit off a bigger contract than they were capable of dealing with. I liked this one. I've seen Miles Teller in a few movies and I really like him. He reminds me of the 25-35 year old John Cusack.
