Spring.. I really like it. It starts out slow then picks up. It sort of fun movie to go in to blind..Has for Aokigahara.. If you want some really scary stories about that place look up mangas and Japan made films. They have some real gems out there. They do have non fiction books on it. However wiki dose not list all the movies and books

There’s nothing wrong with being fascinated with dark topics, I love reading about real serial killers and cults and such like and I don’t condone murdering and sacrificing people.

Same here. I'm fascinated by this stuff. I know there are a few of us on the MB who read true crime and real-life mysteries.

You should listen to “Lore” it’s a true crime/paranormal podcast, one of the earlier episodes talks about the history of The Stanley Hotel and even talks about how and why King was inspired by it when he wrote The Shining.

Amazon did that as a series. I have to get around to checking it out. Premise sounds good.

All The Money In The World (2017) Christopher Plummer, Michelle Williams directed by Ridley Scott

A gripping account of The Paul Getty III kidnapping in 1973. I was only 12 at the time but I remember the massive news coverge of this (it was around the same time as the Patty Hearst kidnapping). This is the movie that Kevin spacey was erased from. This movie is probably better with Christopher Plummer anyway. He was magnificent as JP Getty (the role Spacey had).

I don't like this erasing stuff. If we're going to edit out every single person who has done something disgusting, illegal and offending, we aren't going to have any entertainment left.

I don't either but that stuff usually goes away after a while. I'm sure in a year or so, a new blu-ray will be released with both versions on it. We still have OJ movies.

And something I find really hypocritical and odd/funny -- The old Roseannes were taken completely off the air, and The Cosby Show is still running.

Watched Spy on the plane. It's a, well, spy yarn, spoofishly done, with Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Jude Law.

Surprisingly enough, I enjoyed it. Pretty silly and not a classic to go live in celluloid halls of fame or anything, but it kept me going and got some audible chuckles out of me, which is unusual, especially watching by myself. For some reason, and this shows what an awful person I am, the vomit on the corpse scene got the internal guffaws going.

It's not something that I'd want to spend movie tickets on, but as a PPV, Netflix, or watching on a plane, it filled the running time satisfactorily enough. All the more so because I've got a pretty low tolerance if something isn't keeping my interest. And this did.

Went to see Halloween. I know you have to forget ALL the sequels and that's okay. Most of them were pretty silly, anyway. I know I watched through nostalgia colored lenses. I don't care. I freaking loved it. Well made, all the tropes good fun.
Completely agree. Loved it. Hope they start up a whole new franchise.
