Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019) Nothing much, just what you’d expect from a standard animated talking animals kid’s film, I don’t even remember the first one that well. It basically was three different subplots that converged together at the end. I liked the plot with the two main dogs and the plot with girl dog but could care less about the other plot involving the bunny and escaped tiger. The villain of this movie was super shallow and added nothing to the movie other than just being there for the sake of having a villain. I enjoyed the film for what it was and it wasn’t terrible by kid’s film standards. If there’s any reason to see it, it’s to see Harrison Ford’s first appearance in an animated film, or so I was told. Fun kid’s film, but shallow, 5/10.
Rushmore (1998): First time watching a Wes Anderson film. I enjoyed the it although it did feel a bit mundane at points. Nice cinematography, which isn’t to be expected given what I’ve been told about Anderson before. Can’t really think of too much else to say. 6/10
Toy Story 4 (2019): Talk about unnecessary sequels, they should’ve just left it as a trilogy. This film added nothing to the beloved franchise. The new characters don’t feel like they belong, the returning characters don’t feel like themselves, and the ending tried to be all feel-goody when all it is disappointing, it completely betrays what’s to be expected from Woody and the rest of the characters. This is once again an unessecary Pixar sequel that’s just Disney trying to cash in on what is already a beloved and excellent franchise. Toy Story 3 was an excellent end to the series while this one is just so mediocre. All in all a Toy Story 4/10.
