Omega Man is fantastic.

I also watched Criterion Collection sci fi over the break. But I chose:

Westworld -- I love this movie. Hadn't seen it in a while. Yul Brynner as the gunslinger was so out of left field, but it worked. he did great.

Soylent Green -- I've seen this many times too, but this viewing was a little more poignant for me.

God Told Me To -- First viewing of this. Interesting movie. The up close and personal views of va jay jays was unexpected and a little surprising given the year it was made -- 1976.

And Deborah Raffin is as hairy as a damn howler monkey. Wow. Her arms were so friggin' hairy, I was like, girlfriend, shave that sh*t.
I love Omega, Westworld and Soylent, I'd put Silent Running up there with them as well. Never saw God Told Me To (although I had planned to use that line in my defence if I was ever arrested).

I had never seen this movie. I was familiar with the famous Mt. Rushmore scene, but had no idea what the movie was about.

I like James Mason. He's got this snooty, azzhole quality to his acting that is just fun to watch.

The movie as a whole was okay. I enjoyed watching it for the historical aspect of the time frame and settings. The coloring of the film is different. I can't put that into words how, but it is different than what we see today.

Cary Grant is just a beautiful man. Shoot those cuffs, kitten. meowrrrrrr.

I love how the U.S. agents put an average Joe Blow in the crosshairs. Wow. Nothing like being a dispensable human. Good example of the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the one.

The crop duster scene is great

LOVE Westworld! I think Yul Brynner was just spooky good in that movie. It reminded me what Arnold did with The Terminator character later on. The stiff way he moved and that weird smile Brynner has. Did you ever see this other one called "Futureworld", Deej? If I remember correctly, it's a sequel to Westworld. Peter Fonda is in it if memory serves.

I saw a movie called Frailty that was recommended by Stephen King - that was very creepy, especially since his two sons were involved in all that violence.

Watched 'One & Two' starring Kiernan Shipka (from Mad Men) and Timothee Chalamet. Siblings Eva and Zac are cut off from society in a remote farmhouse, their insular world bounded by an enormous wall. But as the pair begins exploring their extraordinary, potentially dangerous supernatural abilities, a mystery arises: is their strict disciplinarian father trying to keep the world out, or to keep his children in? As their father searches for a divine answer to the circumstances of his crumbling world, Zac and Eva steal moments to explore their burgeoning otherwordly powers. This stunningly original sci-fi mind bender is a surprising, thought-provoking look at the bonds that tie families together and the secrets that drive them apart.

This was a different type of movie. Not what I was expecting at all. I would say it was more of a study of a family and its relationships with a touch of sci-fi thrown into the mix. Kept my attention.
