I enjoyed the book. It could have used some more action in places and less political mumbo jumbo, but I also think that the author toned that stuff down compared to what Larsson put in the three original novels. Man, it was rough for me in spots to get through because of all that political stuff.

I agree the original three books could have been edited down a bit (part of it what you call political mumbo-jumbo)but i still think they worked because of the character of Salander. Which then was a novelty. But that character is changed in the fourth book and as a result the book dont swim as well as its predecessors. This one too could have done with some more editing. That is a weakness they have in common. But i felt the fourth lacked the strength of the trilogy, Salander.
