Margot Kidder (Lois Lane in 1978's "Superman.") dies at 69

Margot Kidder, best known for playing reporter Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve in the "Superman" film franchise of the late 1970s and early 1980s, has died at her Montana home. She was 69.

Kidder's death was first reported by TMZ but confirmed by the Franzen Davis funeral home in Livingston, Montana and later by her agent.



"The actress and activist passed away on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 at her home," the funeral home said. A cause of death was not given.

....she was a lovely lass, and not a half-bad actress....lots of moxy.....she indeed had a nervous breakdown, but came out the other side and continued to work steadily, though not to the degree she had....even won an Emmy!.....I hope her soul is at peace.....

I met her two years back when she was here at Comic Con. Even though she did lots of horror (Sisters, Black Christmas, Amityville Horror, Tales from the Crypt, Halloween 2 - the Rob Zombie one), she is, was and always will be Lois Lane to most. It's funny, but even as a horror fan I mostly see her as Lois Lane.
But my favourite would be Amityville Horror, although Black Christmas is probably a better film.
