Has anyone seen the report of an American company that is going to microchip their employees? A microchip is implanted in their hand, to unlock doors, other things I guess that are "benefits",benefits to the company no doubt..Would you allow yourself to be microchipped for your job?Even if you refused, you might lose your job? This is really the brave new world, where we want to keep an eye on whereabouts of people at all times..

I think the program is on a voluntary basis. In this day and age of "now" to some employees it may appear a convenience. They no longer need to be concerned about a password, ID badge etc. However,, long term, just how much of their personal privacy is being given up for such a convenience. What are long term aspects of said microchip- rejection, movement, other medical issues. Personally, not something I would want.

But the funny thing is,companies always sell this kind of thing as no problem to the individual, only later do we find out they are monitoring our every movement, what we buy, even our damn smart tvs are watching us now..it is kind of scary..

and that is the whole problem, all this "data" is for sale, when what they are selling is everyone's personal privacy..my first laptop, still the one I am using, bought in 2009,I had read about the camera being used as a spy feature way back then, and I covered it with tape..turns out that was the right thing to do,people with ill intent can remotely use the camera in your laptop..and also cell,tv..it is frightening..and not a lot of answers from the security services on how to stop it or why they are not shutting these enterprises down, likely because they are in countries out of our jurisdictional reach.

absolutely agree. And just reading the fine print of you cable co bill, cell phone etc- they state by using their service you agree to them selling you information and usage to third party sources. What happened to privacy?

I never thought I would have to worry about a vacuum cleaner. I don't clean, so I'm safe. ;-D

Also, if you have a TV or a remote that you can give verbal commands to, it is a potential listening device in your home.
I have an Echo Dot, but have decided that Alexa isn't a threat......half the time it can't even turn off the lights correctly.
