Okee-dokee. So, seems some of you didn't get my analogy here. What I meant was some people like the story, some people don't and some people want to come on here and b*tch about not liking it at all and therefore are 'peeing all over themselves'. Is it clear now? It's quite rude for a member to get on here and complain about how much they don't like a certain story or book or whatever- here in Steve's backyard, his BACKYARD people. Steve's not going to read a comment from a member who's thrashing him about a story they didn't like. Really, think about it. Would the member use those words if they were to talk to Steve face-to-face? I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, now I've cleared up the blurred lines on my post for you all.

What I found funny about the post, was the questioning of why people approached the car..here is a thought, without it,there IS NO GODDAM STORY!! What was the guy looking for,a story about a kid who explores a rest area then goes home, that's it?Good Lord...:umm:

In Sweden, they've been debating a law to make bathrooms "genderless," offering only toilets and encouraging men to sit. They cite studies that say peeing sitting down is easier on the bladder and prostate and promotes better sexual health.

10 Reasons Why You Should Teach Your Sons To Pee Sitting Down | Babble

Sorry - we seem to have strayed far away from Mile 81!
Is that what Brian Adams and Bruce Springsteen going on strike. Most women don't want men going into a female toilet. Men don't mind if a female goes into a male toilet, so men are less sexist. I think sexes should have distinguishing toilets, as men usually pee standing up, but they don't raise the toilet seat, and splash urine on it, and women hate that.

That is just about the size of it,eh? All good stories usually involve some fool who will go down in the basement to investigate a strange scary sound. Folks go to a campsite in spite of the serial killer on the loose in the woods. Young juicy women wearing bodice type dresses will walk foggy roads after there is talk of a stalking vampire type swanning around the hedges and pocket parks. This is fodder for good stories....the what ifs. Winks*

As I get older I find I almost exclusively speak the language of sarcasm. Hopefully sarcastic and non-offensive but communication breakdown is quite common. I should start using that winking emoji more often just so it's out there. See 'ya champ1966, mal.
My attitude is, if I don't put 'I'm being serious' at the end of a post, then you need to assume I'm being sarcastic. I'm being serious ;)

It's like saying 'I refuse to watch horror films where someone goes down the cellar in the pitch dark'

Women do it, too - I can see if it was a young girl ahead of you, but I have seen some stalls where a woman comes out and when you try to go in next, the seat is covered in urine.

Yuck - these are usually the ones who try to leave without washing their hands too and then realize they are in public so turn back and rinse the hands for a millisecond under cold water without using any soap!

Okay - it is official - I must have a hang-up about public toilets (It comes from working in a hospital!)

I suppose the so called fans of Mile 81 would think a lamp that becomes evil would be "entertaining".

Come on seriously. An old muddy station wagon that's a rip off of The Raft. That's all Stephen King can come up with fir a new short story collection book?

That's all he could come up with. Nobody liked it, so nobody bought it. Shame, really.
Someone (maybe GNTLGNT ?) posted this before, but I liked it enough to post it again:

well,it is not a really new story,it has been around for a few years..also,it blends into the theme he has had of otherworldly visitors, some not being so nice..if you don't understand that people see something odd,and against their better judgement sometimes, still go to investigate it,you don't understand human nature and it's curiosity. And just because in this incarnation, the animal,or alien,or whatever it is,chooses a station wagon,it doesn't make it any less lethal..there are plenty of animals out there with great camo that can kill you if you are not paying attention..If you hate these kinds of stories, feel free to read something else,it is a free country..
