Haunted, this is really spreading Christmas spirit.

Apparently someone who dresses as Santa for something every year is going to the Manor tomorrow (I think it's tomorrow) and bringing a present to all the residents. People all over the country are sending cards to senior residences to be given to people who don't have family coming to visit.

THIS is what a really great Christmas movie is made of. :D Choosing to be a part of it just might make you feel good. At least...it won't make you feel worse, right!

Have to share this....

Today Mark posted that Canada post has offered to send a few Canada Postal workers to deliver the cards next Friday. Just like in the movie.

Also, wanted to correct my previous post....Santa brought each resident a card not a gift. I misread.

It really does.

I haven't heard back from the home by my house though. I really hope they used the cards.

I'll bet they have. Unfortunately people don't always think to say thank you or let people know. It doesn't mean it's not appreciated though.

The art of thanking has pretty much died out unfortunately. And with the holidays approaching, staff may be very busy. Routines are being turned upside down, and that can make things more difficult too.
