I keep mishearing "Suck it up" in the 'Stones classic "Beast of Burden" as something very different involving a duck

One of my classics is that since someone pointed it out to me, I hear "dancing in fields of kohlrabi" in Wanderlust by Nightwish. I simply cannot unhear it. It's supposed to be "dancing in fields of coral, be..." I once had a magnificent avatar that featured Tarja Turunen in a field of kohlrabi, with a kohlrabi in her hand... :p Sadly I can't seem to find it right now.

In Take That's Back For Good I keep hearing "houd je bek" ("shut your trap") instead of "want you back"... Nice, I know.

In Ramble Tamble (CCR) I always hear "ponies on the corner" instead of "police".

My mother has a couple of golden ones as well. She hears "You know oxygen's good for you" in Linger (The Cranberries), instead of "you know I'm such a fool for you". She also refers to Otherside by the Red Hot Chili Peppers as "Hello Hello".

There must be more, but the heat is starting to fog up my head...

A few years ago, I was having a few beers with my friend at a local bar. Suddenly, one of the songs they played caught my attention: the chorus appeared to be "Paul Di'anno, Paul Di'anno" over and over. The funny thing is, my friend misheard the song exactly the same way.

Later I learned the song was Pull me under by Dream Theater.

I guess, at that night my subconscious was expecting to hear classic Iron Maiden songs played.

Another Stone’s song where I know the actual lyric but can’t get it out of my head how I originally hear it.

Lyric- “I’m sure your mother was a Cajun queen”

How I hear it- “I’m sure your mother was a Cheshire queen”

either my version has to deal with cheese or the cat from Alice in Eonderland.

When I was a younger, more foolish panda I thought that the lyric “Big ol’ Jet Airliner” from “Jet Airliner” by Steve Miller Band was “Now, I don’t sleep with the light on”
