This is driving me nuts. I keep voting, I get the extra votes, but he stays in second! Does he get anything for second?

This message board permanently closed on June 30th, 2020 at 4PM EDT and is no longer accepting new members.
They are giving away 4 vans.....in order to qualify for the semifinals, the contestants need to receive a total of 10% of the votes. If Jay stays in 2nd or third place, he will definitely qualify for the semifinals. Then, the judges will look at each person's story, and the support they received, and what they have been doing in their community.....then the vans will be awarded. The guy who is in 1st place is about 15,000 votes of Jay.
Going to manifest a van for Jay. This will happen!

As I'm going to bed...about 10:45 EDT.......Jay has 77,835 votes. I'm hoping that we can finish tomorrow at 80,000
Tomorrow is the last voting day, and they will post the finalist list by the 15th. I'll let everyone know as soon as I know.

I have some ideas, but I would like to hear what you think. This is an awesome opportunity to help folks while we wait for the next van contest. As of right now, Jay has 77,540 votes.....second place looks fairly secure at this point.
It has been so amazing to watch the numbers go up....the first week of the contest, he had accumulated just over 1,400.
A few of us are writing letters to the NMEDA after the contest to tell the judges how we know Jay, and to tell them why we feel that Jay should be awarded a van.
The voting site seems to be having problems this morning.....there is no extra vote question at this time......only an error message.
I'm gonna wait a few hours to vote and see if it gets repaired.
Thank you doesn't seem like enough to say to everyone who is helping me vote, but it is all I can say. Y'all are amazing for caring about someone you've never met, and I love you all. So, Thank you.....♥♥♥

It's so weird not voting for Jay tonight... I'm really happy that he was able to hold second place, I hope he will get one of these vans.
I know what you mean! I got up this morning, and headed straight to the voting site.....I was greeted with a notice that voting has ended. Jay finished the voting phase strong in second place with 79,541 votes.
The judges now have a huge decision to make. There were literally hundreds of participants, and they all really deserve a van. I really believe that Jay will be awarded one, and that's the vibe I'm sending into the universe.
