Well all I know is I'm gonna have Tuesday thru Thursday off, and I plan on spending every possible moment reading it. I didn't plan things that way, it just happened.

Have you read the Complete Mr. Mercedes Letter? You should pay special attention to looking Under Debbie's Blue Umbrella....

Why do so many people here get advance reading copies? I don't mind saying I'm at least a LITTLE jealous - probably a lot more than a little but never mind.
I've never gotten one of those for ANY author much less my favorite one. Of course I would have been the most jealous of someone who got advanced reading copies of J.D Salinger's work, since he's my favorite author of all time.

Have most of you pre ordered this, or do you wait and get it at your local Walmart or other stores? I usually only preorder books that I know won't come to Walmart. I like the thrill of browsing through the books in the local store and hoping they have the new one. Of course, it always sucks when they don't get it on time, but still fun. I've had bad experiences with Amazon pre order anyway. I had a book pre ordered that wasn't supposed to come out until June 13th, we lost internet for a couple days and when I checked my email I saw it had already been released AND shipped... 30 bucks that I didn't even have on the card at that time, so I guess that bounced. I guess it's your job to keep an eye on your email and try and catch it in time if it comes out sooner then it was supposed to... I'm thinking it did actually already ship, judging from Tracking the order... Sucks.

I hear that! I'm in a group on Facebook, a group that has like 30,000 + members, and it's unreal to hear everyone so excited for it. I hadn't even gotten back into reading when Doctor Sleep came out, so it's been years since I felt the "excitement" and suspense, waiting for a new King book to hit the shelves. I do read a lot of True Crime, and enjoy writing about it, but haven't read very much fiction that deals with crime. Joyland, maybe, but it didn't even feel like a crime writing to me. I'm on the same boat with the fans who aren't really into Crime Fiction, but I get excited over anything King related that comes out. Should be a nice read!
