Ive always been interested in the psychology of serial killers and such, I guess that's why I'm a mental health counselor. Anyway, I went into mr. Mercedes unsure that I'd like it and the letter was just so raw and deranged I knew then that I was going to like it.
:biglove:Thankee Flake. Mr. Mercedes felt a little like the character Harold Lauder from The Stand. Awesome, Snake. So you are helping others fight the good fight..

Hey guys! I am a bit late, but agree with the thoughts so far. 1) So much going on in such a short space. 2) Augie and the line. :-(
3) the intro to Hodges and the letter.

Snake - I really enjoyed the letter as well. It was sort of a slap in the face that - Hey, a crazy guy is out here!!!

So guys, are we good to meet like this each Sunday evening for an hour? We'll discuss this story in increments of about 30 pages and agree to read the next 30 for next week?
Sounds, good. I will do my best to be on time. I would suggest we look at chapters vs. page count though. It might be hard to stop at 90 or 120 if something is about to happen! ;-D

I like that SK divided the chapters into lots of mini chapters. It does make it easier to read manageable bits. Next week we'll read through the end of page sixty two. My Computer just crashed and I had to reboot.

The name Olivia Trelawney is really familiar. For some reason I am thinking about one of the 'thinny' areas in the Dark Tower when Roland and Eddie or Jake needed a ride to go meet the author? Or am I imagining that connection?

I just looked it up - Trelawney was a Can-Toi security guard in DT VII and Richie Trelawney was a character in Christine. Good memory VL!!! :)

Morgan, Girl, You are Quick!!! I just remember in one of the Dark Tower Novels, Roland having a lady with a very expensive, 12 cylinder Mercedes take them from a store somewhere, although, I could be wrong.
