I applaud your enthusiasm. You will have to let me know how it turns out. There is the Stephen King tour that Stew doe here in town, and it can be a really good way to get a feel for Bangor and the surrounding area while feeding your King mania at the same time. Of course, the new It movie opens in another months, and Derry is based on Bangor. It is a thrill to read parts of the book in the exact location where they take place. You can sit in the shadow of the Standpipe and read about Stan's encounter with the dead boys. You can read about Richie and Tall Paul right there with its plastic face staring at you. :D And of course you can read by the canal, in the Barrens, and so on. The list goes on and on.

There is a drive in theater on the outskirts of town too, and that might make it a double hit of nostalgia if you want to view the Dark Tower there. I haven't checked if it will be playing there but I would be surprised if it wasn't.
