I have seen there are 3 books in the unabridged version of The Stand. I have never read the book and starting the 2nd book or segment right now. Were they released as separate books or is that a way to segment it? As i have stated before, please no spoilers as i have been enjoying the book a lot and starting the 2nd part right now.

I wasn't aware that it had been published (at least in the US) as separate books except that there are two editions. The version published after 1990 is the unexpurgated version and is roughly 400 pages longer than the one published from 1978 up to 1990.

I have the copy that is close to ~1300-1400 pages but the book has parts that say Book I, Book II and Book III which is why i wondered if they were released as different books and this copy has combined them?

Are you referring to the fact that the book is divided into 3 parts? (all within one binding). As MsMod said, I have not seen 3 separate books.
