Wow! Your collection is impressive! If you ever decide to move, you're gonna need a lot of boxes!
Five and a half years ago I did move and sadly I had to get rid of alot of books. Had all of David Morrell's, all of James Patterson's, all of Grisham's, and alot of others. I hope I won't have to move ever again. Of course, the collection keeps growing so I'll probably have to find a bigger place...

Well-you've been told what you could do about that "housekeeping" situation... ;)

We used to have over a thousand books, my husband and I. About five years ago, we downsized and got rid of lots of them. Now we have about two hundred. I call them our "core collections"-- he has his favorite books and I have mine but we cheat a little. We have a sixty volume set of The Great Books. They're published by The Encyclopedia Brittanica and contain the complete works of great writers like Homer, Plato, and Shakespeare and the "bestsellers" of many others like Dickens, Hemingway, and Faulkner. It's a good tradeoff… you still have a pretty meaty library at your fingertips but at the same time you don't have all the book dust, which we almost always had, seeing as dusting is just about my least favorite activity on earth. :smile2:

That is soooo awesome!!! Beautiful. I have over 700 books, but your collection is way better!
Please, tell me where you got the puzzle cube!!!! (Hellraiser) I would love to have one of those!!! Also, you have two copies of a Tabitha King book I want to read...can I borrow one? :haha:
Picked up the Hellraiser cube at a comic book store years ago. As for the Tabitha King books, one is an ARC and the other is the hardback. Sorry, I don't lend out my books- it would be like letting one of my kids (if I had any) get adopted out.

I only lend if I'm ready to lose--learned that the hard way when Carrie, The Dark Half, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Silence of the Lambs, etc. etc. walked out the door & never came back. Took me until last year to find another HB Carrie *sigh* Now I buy up copies of books that I'm likely to lend (SK books, Lambs, & These Is My Words are likely loaners) & give them away.
