I've just finished reading Carrie. Don't consider it one of King's best works but what I like is the form that the author chose: excerpts from newspapers, books written about that event and at the end very well shaped hearing. The documentary form works here pretty well although there is something why I don't consider it a 5* work...don't know how to describe it.
Where do you put Carrie in the King's universe? Average, below average or top work?

While maybe not his best work (it was the first book that he published that did well in sales) I think it helped that it was made into a movie and therefore more people were introduced to his writing [I hope!] - what would you consider to be one of his best books? (Welcome by the way!) :cheerful:
