I called my brother who lives on the other side of the state (Seattle area) and told him if he wants to see our sis then he has to drive here. None of my family that live in this state have been to see me for a couple of years so it's their turn to use the gas to get over here.
So hopefully ,he will be visiting you too.

Ayuh! There's always some excuse 'Our dog can't be left alone and we can't bring him.' or 'I'm not feeling good and haven't for the past three weeks.' etc. The visiting sister is the one that said they need to come see me because I'm always going over there to visit. (Of course when I go I get to do my thrift store/used bookstore shopping!)
And that is worth going for.=D;;D:encouragement:

I don't know how much fun we'll have as I am rather depressed and have no spare money to spend on fun things right now. But, we can spend the hours playing Upwords and I can force her to watch all of my David Lynch films!!!
You will have fun. Just sitting and visiting and eating and watching shows is great fun with someone you haven't done it with in a while. Those are the best times, not out running around like chickens with your heads attached and out running around.

I was recently in Seattle and had wanted to be able to meet you, but I knew your budget was tight and didn't feel right asking you to go out of your way to meet.

Well, he seemed a little put out that we hadn't told him about it until yesterday which doesn't give him much time to plan a trip over here. Plus we don't know what the weather will be like. We're getting snow here in Spokane on Saturday so who knows what next week will bring? But, he has a big *ss truck with 4 wheel drive so he could make the trip in snow.

Nope, I met no one. It was just for a couple days and my friend was showing me around, it was a pretty full couple of days.

Did you go to Pike Place Market and pet the big brass pig and dodge the flying fish? ;;D
Got to Pike Market. I saw the flying fish. Not sure about the pig. Looked for naked Trump but he was gone. I posed with a living statue in honor of Amanda Palmer, ate the best clam chowder at Ivar's, took a picture by stringy bubble gum and blobs on a wall, saw the most magnificent Vampire Killing Kit in an "odditorium" of sorts by the docks. It wasn't for sale, but it was so great.

I also did a Ghost Hunters investigation in Seattle's underground. I felt so stupid, but it was fun. And no ghosts felt the need to reach out to me, I was insulted.

Ah, yes, the infamous wall of gum. They had just hosed that thing down a couple of years ago but it keeps coming back! The underground tour is bigger now than when I took it 20 years ago. I got to see an old toilet, the underside of the sidewalk and some dark and dank rooms. But I did find out that the Seattle Public Library got its start from donations from the biggest 'madam' in Seattle!

Maybe they were afraid of a sexual harassment claim? ;;D

That's great news - it will be a good time to bond - have you seen her much in the last year?
She was up last year for a week. She wasn't planning on coming up this year but her daughter let her use a $200 voucher that she had received from a horrible trip with an airline that shall remain nameless. They booked the flight only last week and got a pretty good price for it considering that she will be flying back right before Thanksgiving.

Hope you both have a good time (it was 10 years for me recently when I went to Toronto to see my big sister)
Stephen King too!
