My signed limited edition of Doctor Sleep arrived today! I am so excited, this is my first signed Stephen King book! Nervous I was going to ruin it! I saw fingerprints on the cover and thought "Those could be Steve's prints!" Should I wipe them off or leave them? LOL!

Here are pics. Cemetery Dance has made a beautiful book!

There's nothing like losing your virginity on your first signed/limited editon book! No other feeling in the world, my friend, no other feeling in the world! This one will always be your 'for-special', too. (my copy is on its way, should be here in a couple of days) As for the fingerprints, I hate to pop your bubble but they aren't Steve's. If you see any on the signature page, they might be, but Steve has never actually touched your book. The publisher only sends the signature sheets to the author/artist to sign as it is way too expensive to send all of those books. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but, on the bright side, you can get DNA samples off of the autogragh page and grow your own Steve!!

Thanks everyone! Yeah, I kinda figured all 750 of the books weren't actually held in Stephen's hands but a guy can wonder, right? I am just terrified I'm going to somehow ruin the book...I am going to buy a set of white gloves or something to handle it!
I would probably be terrible if I ever owned a signed book from Stephen--I would utterly appall collectors because--as I would have no intention of selling it on, I'd probably hug it and squeeze it (and call it George) and keep turning to the signature day after day.
Yep, :a11: pretty soon it'd probably start to resemble my other well-loved stories.

It's okay, I totally understand that I'll never be invited over to my fellow StephenKingophiles homes. :biggrin2:
