I've been given the assignment to purchase 10 books (not written by Steve) for teenage readers but I'm out of the loop on that demographic. What/who are teens reading these days?
Haven't actually asked but i personally liked Veronica Roths series aiming at what is called young adults. I presume it is teens they mean. Insurgent, Divergent and Allegiant. Also Julianne Baggott trilogy Pure, Fuse and Dust. And Suzanne Collins Hunger Games trilogy. They are all rather dystopian in character. An alternative history I think youth might like is 1632 by Eric Flint. Well told and not taking itself too seriously.
