According to Lilja's Library, SK said during an appearance in Iowa that he had written the first draft of a new book and it was scaring him to death. Apparently it's separate from SLEEPING BEAUTIES, the book he's working on with Owen. Can any of the mods shed some light on this?
...he has mentioned this during a couple of his stops, but nothing will be detailed until it's time....

Oh, so it's about an America where Trump is president! Pretty scary stuff!

Pet Semetary scared him, too. :ambivalence:
Um', can I get a HELL yeah? Can I get an amen? First off the absolute worst fear of them all. Any parent worth calling one was scared. I am sad to say that this is one of the few Stephen king books I read after I saw the movie, and both, a long time after they came out, ( actually I walked in to the scene in the attic when I was a young teen and it creeped me out so bad I skipped it- especially after realizing the old lady had a disease that is real and could cause those effects, )so I was already a father by the time I watched the movie- with a precocious toddler who would go from lying on her belly sucking several fingers at once looking incapable of any movement above a crawl, which usually was all she chose to do, it was easier and more fun. But once in a while, quick as anything she'd jump up and toddle-run faster than you could believe at something,or just away. When the first scene with the truck happened, and he saved the kid, I was pale and heart pounding- I almost threw up. I knew then that he'd hit on a worse fear for me than any supernatural thing, for me because it was all too real, entirely possible.

And for the record scarier than any ghost or demon I ever ran into, and there's been more than you'd probably think

As a parent of young children, I didn't care for pet cemetery as it hit way too close too home. I tried to watch the the movie on video, but when the casket fell, I turned off the tv and never finished the film until all the kids had grown to high school age.
