In the recent DC event, King mentioned that there was another story to tell from the Stand. There was a large cheer from the audience. He gave some vague details, but the fact that he referenced it at all was interesting.

He better get home and chain himself to his desk--he's got a lot of writing to do with all these ideas floating around! ;-D

Am I weird for not wanting a "sequel" of sorts (whether it be short story or novel) of The Stand? I dunno. The Stand is my very favorite--perfect in every way. I prefer to imagine for myself what happened when Fran and Stu went north. But if King releases it, I'll read it (and probably enjoy it). The woes of being a Constant Reader.
