Hi All. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a new book coming out titled The World Of It that's an official behind-the-scenes look at It Part 1 & 2. It's available for pre-order on Amazon:

Amazon, they're only charging a buck fifty less for the digital copy even though its just 0's and 1's and can't be re-sold.

Powell's wants 40 dollars for it though so I'm not sure who I'll buy it from, yet.

Got it pre-ordered! :)

Physical is the way to go because chances are, it will go up in value in a year or two since they probably won't flood the market with the book since there aren't as many book sellers anymore. One may say, "well I have no intention of ever re-selling it" but you just never know, you can find yourself out of work or with a bill that is too high for your budget and then you can fall back on your "collectors items" and Ebay. ;) I made over 300 dollars on a old GNR shirt one which saved my butt.

I would imagine that this type of book will not have a high print run. I'd say maybe 5, 000-10,000 copies will be printed. It may not sell many copies, like the beautiful 'Nightmares In The Sky' coffee table book by photogragher f-stop Fitzgerald with an introduction (a rather long one) by Stephen King. Alot of those ended up on the bargain shelf at the chain bookstores.

...my pre-order is complete....money??....what’s that????....

Its that stuff that grows on trees.

In the 90's they'd probably print about 100k copies but it wouldn't be a hardcover book if it was made in the 90's, it would be a magazine. Goonies, Jurassic Park, Terminator, E.T., Star Wars, Gremlins, they'd hire a writer and do all the same things this book has to offer but they'd put it out in magazine format for around 5-10 dollars. I imagine one of the horror magazine companies will also put out a special issue dedicated to IT but it won't be as in depth and it'll have advertisements. Fangoria probably will do it or maybe Rue Morgue, if they're still around.

Got the download version - absolutely incredible!

I got the physical version and it was actually too big to put on any bookshelf, but I believe they call them coffee table books for a reason. The hard cover is quality made, the pages are all nice quality, the photos are all high def, and if one has the space for it, highly recommended. I returned my copy, just no room for it but I think there's a smaller photo book out there.

Still think Topps or one of the other card companies should have done trading cards but it's a little too late now.

Completely agree on this. Do movies have trading-card merchandise attached to them anymore? Would seem to be money that is left on the table. I would also say that movies like this should have an adult-targeted action-figure/playset program out as well. I don't understand why we can't but It action figures of the whole cast and maybe sets from Derry, just like one would for Star Wars. For those who watch the Supernatural show: doesn't it annoy you we can't buy the Winchester bunker, complete with telescope? Just don't understand it. And for those who know of Spooky Town animated houses from Lemax (which are famously sold at Michael's), or of the model houses sold by I want to say the Franklin Mint (may be way off on that though, may be another company, but I'm talking about the company that sells stuff like Disney merch in Parade magazine), wouldn't you love to see a Castle Rock series? Anyway, my little opinion on the lack of merchandise for some of our favorite IP...
