Hi everyone:

I am an author working on my second book with Llewellyn Worldwide and I am working on my chapter for The Stanley Hotel for my 2016 America's Most Haunted Hotels book. I have found several sources that discuss the Stanley Hotel / Shining inspiration, and even watched some online interviews of Mr. King, but I have not been able to find anything that definitively speaks to whether or not he felt that he had any personal paranormal experiences while staying at the Stanley that fateful night in 1974. I stayed at the Stanley last weekend, on Halloween night and the following night, and took one of their tours. Additionally, I have ordered Beahm's 1992 biography, because I read excerpts of Mr. King telling the Shining story in another book (Stanley Ghost Stories, The Stanley Museum, 2005). Maybe he has been truly silent on this topic, and maybe the silence is my answer.

I am hoping that someone might be able to point me to another primary source or online interview, if such exists out there in the world. Thank you for your time.

Jamie
