Hello,
I'm IceVamp. I'll make it short and sweet, because god knows I could talk about Stephen King's books all day long. The first book I picked up was at 9 years old, it was Carrie, and I never stopped reading. The man I married is a huge King fan as well (rare, I know!). I grew up in California but I've been living in New England for the past 15 years (an influence of reading King's books perhaps). I love outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Looking forward to chatting and sharing stories!

Hi Chuggs,

Thanks for that...I was born in 1969, and I bought it before I turned 10. I don't think at the time I truly understood everything, but there were things I was really drawn to in his writing. I kept buying more. And I kept reading. It was wonderful to be a kid in the 70s because there were always Stephen King books coming out during my adolescence, and when he hit his heyday in the 80s I was in junior high and high school - great fun to be exploring such a great writer at the height of his game - obviously the movies done in the 80s, until Rob Reiner did Stand By Me and Misery, were pretty crappy. Thank god we have Frank Darabont, who truly understands King, to translate to the screen some really amazing stories. How lucky we are to have a writer like King. I am so grateful to have had wonderful books to read instead of causing trouble!
