That surprises me - I actually enjoyed this collection - so nice to have a reread of the classic stories in one book before they were changed for movies!
I have always enjoyed The Green Mile movie version - apart from (obviously) the inner dialogue I think it's very true to the book.
I also feel the same way about the The Shawshank Redemption....

I'm almost afraid to say this hah but I enjoyed 1408 as a movie much more than as a book! It gave me the chills :)
