I've been drinking lemon water, trying to dissolve this kidney stone. Our lemon tree is loaded so I know I'm getting the good stuff. ;)

I talked to a chiropractor one time who swore that what did the trick for him was Mountain Dew, which he hated drinking, but he was desperate. I can't vouch for it. That's what he said. I'm not sure a kidney stone would be enough of a motivator for me to try, but I've ever had a kidney stone, so I'm probably talking out my ... I mean, through my hat.

I'm drinking water, herbal tea, Arnold Palmers, milk, and some coffee this week. Blood pressure and weight are current concerns, and alcohol is out of my life for the time being. Oh, and I take a couple swigs of cider vinegar now and then. I heard it's good for you. I hope so, because it sure tastes awful.

Tolerable drink-- raw, unfiltered, organic, unpasturized apple cider vinegar (Bragg's is a good brand)-- use 1 tablespoon to 8 oz glass water and a few drops of the best honey available, or maple syrup.

I was talking to a gentleman at the Chinese restaurant tonight about my sore right knee and asked if he knew of any Chinese medicine that might help me. He recommended acupuncture.

I'll have to check to see if that is covered on my Blue Cross, now that I have different coverage after retirement.

This is interesting. Here's a little math to show how big of a difference a 1% alcohol percentage can make.

Andy said they did an experiment once at the NCO mess (when he was in the military) - They took a green private i.e. one who had basically no rank at all and invited him over for a drink. The first drink they gave him was whiskey and Coke. After that they only rimmed the glass with whiskey and filled the glass with Coke.

After 4 or 5 of these he said he was drunk, yet he had had only one drink.

Not sure what the point of all this was :hmm:

I think it was some sort of Management course to illustrate the power of suggestion

As time went on, the effects of that first whiskey move throughout his body. I believe he was drunk.

I have a pretty low alcohol tolerance too.

On another note - I see the "Cannabis Doc" at National Access Cannabis on February 27th
:surprise::a28:

When I was in my 20s, I had a friend that had an extremely low tolerance. It was really strange. If he had more than 2 beers, he was history. We really had to watch him to keep him from going over his 2 beer limit.

Warm welcome to Canada's coolest bar:

Wow that's a long link!

Fancy skating up to a wet bar? The Forks and Festival du Voyageur hope so.

The organizations are partners this winter in the creation of a warming hut on the frozen Assiniboine River that combines an artistic space and one that serves drinks in tumblers that are drilled out of ice.
