I think I might have started it too close to finishing the series. As I said in another thread, it feels too much like watching video of someone who has died. Their endings are too fresh; I can't enjoy seeing them together again when I know how bad it's going to be for them at the end. I'm doing it anyway, so I guess that's not entirely true, but it just feels sad right now.

I just finished the book this weekend. I have already read the entire DT series and was saving this as a treat for later. It was so nice to return to the story, the Ka-tet and like stated above it did feel like a nice family reunion. I really enjoyed this book and of course wish it was just longer. I think waiting so long after reading the original series made it that much better. Looking forward to the telling of the Jericho Hill story, I sure hope that comes to life. I think there are endless possibilities to "fill in the gaps" of the DT series, and keep these nice little stories coming.

Now I am going to do something I have not done in a long time, Read the most current SK book!! Revival is sitting on my nightstand, I walked over to my bookshelf and pondered quite a while on what one was next, as I own all of SK's works but I have not read them all. Looking forward to this read and finally looking at the forums to see what everyone else thought of it.

I guess you could say that I am a few chapters in already as Mr. King himself read them to me in D.C. !!

Let us know how you like it - I have it in hardcover - I guess it is not available in paperback yet?
:a11: - I've had this last book since Christmas :O_O:

I certainly will!! Looking forward to starting tonight.

I get so backed up in my reading sometimes, just not enough time in my days it seems. I have lately been trying to carve out a hour or more before bed at least three times a week to just read. TWTTKH breezed by and there were several nights I was in bed at 9pm book in hand (this is rare for me) I think after Revival it will be Mr. Mercedes so I can time it out to follow up nicely with the release of Finders Keepers. At least that's the plan.

I've just finished wind through the keyhole last night, I read a little bit at a time and didn't read any for about 1 1/2 weeks, then all of a sudden I read the last 200 pages or so in 3 days. The only other book I've read that fast was joyland. I just couldn't wait to see how little Tim's story would pan out.

It was great to read more of old Roland and his modern day ka tet, just wish there was more of it.

I noticed a lot more comedy in this one than usual. I really enjoyed it.

Am I just being blind or even stupid? because I didn't get onto who the covenant man was until his note. Did anyone not see that coming?
