Hi everyone!
I'm new to this site, but not to this fandom. I've been reading SK's novels and collections for most of my life.

I'm a grad student, and my current job is doing research on SK's work. My main subject of interest is the links between SK's different fictions, a.k.a. the one, big, dark-tower-centered Kingverse. I'm also really interested in the idea of crossovers between SK books and the works of other writers, a subject about which I haven't been able to find out a whole lot so far. It's a true work-in-progress. If any of you guys have questions about what I'm working on, I'd be glad to answer them.

I don't have many friends who like SK's work as much as me, so I'm really glad I've found this community. Like a ka-tet, throughout the world.

Rock on, my fellow Constant Readers!

Welcome TravellingJack19! I guess my main question would be...Is the state of our post-graduate education so watered down that theses' are now being approved for work on contemporary fictional novels? Maybe it's as simple as...'Hey, if he wants to pay for that we'll take his money'. It sounds like a fun task though. You will find lots of connections between one book and another by perusing the site. Good luck and all the best, mal.

Hi and welcome.
I know of two writers in King's family that have used nuggets from his work, Joe Hill and Tabitha King. I can't remember all of the connections but I think Tabitha mentions Castle Rock (a locale with which you must be familiar) and Joe has admitted to peppering his fiction with Stephen King Easter eggs. Good luck, I'm sure you'll find the help you need around these parts.

"So watered down"? Why wouldn't we write theses on contemporary writers and popular fiction? That sounds a little condescending, wouldn't you agree?
