I thought the first episode was a slow start. But only one real complaint about the episode, at the end they were playing Ray Charles' America the Beautiful over what was happening on screen. I get the idea why I just think it was not the right choice at all. Did not match the action on screen, music was way too modern sounding and it really took me out of the last scene.

That said, I am excited this is on again!

Haha, whoops! Thank you!

Glad it was not just me who thought that was an odd choice.
I have it saved in my PVR - I guess it will be on every Sunday?

Might try to save up a few episodes and then watch it. That was one of my favourite books a few years back - it might be good to do a reread now.

I'm going to watch the finale now. Been holding onto it because the wait is so long.

I think this season has been great. Some things are not ringing a bell with me though so may have to try to reread soon.
I'll have 3 episodes to watch when I get home. I've threatened penalty of death if they haven't been DVR'd. :biggrin2: At one point I'd thought about re-reading the books but it's been fun to have things come up in the series to remind me instead. I've heard a rumor from a reliable source that the next book will be coming out in September.

Ooh yay!!! Very exciting news!

The last 3 episodes have been most excellent. The casting still amazes me, everyone is so spot on, that you really don't mind the little differences in story that come up. The lady playing Jocasta is wonderful!

I've been trying not to be one of "those fans" who can't get over that Bre's eyes are brown, not blue like Jamie's. Apparently not completely successful, though, since I'm bringing it up. :wink2:

....so your partner should be on guard if you should come with a package shaped like one of these?.......
