This is totally unacceptable.....lol.
Well........then fingers crossed for another book eventually.

Let's take a look at the authors side of a book tour-- it is a grind! Most are one city/ state per day. Include in that travel, airports, car rides, waking up early, hotel beds, hotel / restaurant food. Being away from family and companions. And Most are still writing while on tour.
Tours are "extra" gifts to the constant readers. The book is the actual gift. Authors need down time.

SK is coming off of a very grinding book tour from last year. Yes, we all want to "see", "meet", shake his hand, have a pic taken with him. But we also want that delightful to hold in your hands book. Sometimes we have to give a little of our desires/ wants in order to have those delightful books in hand.

Be patient-- all good things come to those who wait.

I have an idea for an event with the release of The Outsider.

Coordinate with the Red Sox where Stephen gives a talk about his new book after a home game (against the Yankees, of course). Give the speech from the pitchers mound. Advertise the event and note Mr King will be presenting several hundred books (some signed) in a most unusual way. While Stephen is giving his talk, have drones fly the books above the crowds and let them drop. Let people fight over them like a home run hit into the stands from David Ortiz. I think it will be most memorable... bloody and violent, but memorable. :)

Killjoy II? :)

While it is an out-of-the-box idea and related to the Red Sox, I know exactly how he feels about doing any publicity appearances this year. Maybe next year he'll be more receptive.
You hear that, Dio? Next year. I'll hitch my way up your way and we'll head to Boston and make SKMB history. It'll be...diabolical. :devilish:
:grinning:
