Hi! My name is Amy Bauer and I'm writing on behalf of my mother, Holly Bauer.
She's a huge fan and would love to be able to meet you (Stephen King) one day, although she swears it won't ever happen.
When i asked her why you were her favorite author she said, "he has a wonderful imagination. His characters and settings are described so vividly and richly that they become like real people and places to me. I get attached to certain characters to the point I laugh and cry, get mad or scared with them. I love how Stephen King takes people and places from one story and places them in another story.
I don't think I can pick just one favorite story but some of my favorites are the Dark Tower series, Blaze, Mr. Mercedes, Rose Madder, Insomnia, The Stand, It, Insomnia, The Long Walk. Bag of Bones and Salem's Lot are also high on my list and [even if] they also scare the crap out of me."
Your work impacts people and I also know that, for my Mom, her eyes always light up whenever she receives a new Stephen King book.
Why I'm saying all of this is that for their anniversary this year, my parents are going on a trip to Maine and are going on a SK tour. I'm not sure what your schedule looks like or if you could even do it, but I know it would be an unforgettable experience if you could maybe surprise her on their tour. I can get more information for you if you can do this for her. My mother is an absolute angel and she deserves the world, and I'm just trying to do that for her.

Even if this isn't something you would be able to do I can't thank you enough for being a staple author in our household!

Welcome to the SKMB! I had to delete your email as we don't allow that sort of info on the Board. Happy Anniversary to your parents! - Tery/Moderator

I'm sorry, but just not something Stephen does as you can imagine how many requests he gets. It would make it difficult to say yes to one person and no to another so his policy is to abstain from one-on-one meet and greets. Chances are he might not be in Bangor at the time in any case but I hope your parents have a great time visiting!
