Now that we've seen how Dan Torrence turned out in Doctor Sleep, I'd LOVE to see what Charlie's up to these days. Drew Barrymore has kids, so what if Charlie did, too? What kind of mischief and mayhem could they get up to? And what lengths would Charlie go to in order to protect them if some secret government thought they might have powers too?
I'd love to find out.

....is your alias "Tiny"?????....just kidding, it would be kinda cool-but I'm afraid that we could beg for sequels on so many of his works, that all originality would just bleed off...

I agree with that. While I don't see a sequel in the works to this one, as long as a character is alive (and even if they aren't in some cases!), you never know when a character from a prior novel will get referenced, make a cameo, or show up in a supporting role in another work. Stranger things have happened.

Having just finished this, I would rather he finished it properly with a few more chapters. I know it's nice to make your own mind up every now and then but I don't think this should have been one of those times.

I also liked Charlie a lot more than Danny Torrence but I rather enjoyed Dr sleep (but I think that may have been more down to abra and rose.

That's kind of how I see a Firestarter sequel. A young person going through all this crap, so forth and so on... gets in trouble, but is rescued at the end by mom and her HOLY CRAP!! power of starting fires. Only what was mostly uncontrolled blobs of fire from a child's mind in the first book has been honed to laser like precision by the adult. And wouldn't it be fun if Charlie didn't even need line of sight anymore? Epilogue is a bad guy sitting in his office when a little dance of light comes to call.
