I was also amazed that during an Islamic wedding ceremony I attended a few years ago, the Imam mentioned Adam & Eve. Although I do not necessarily believe in the actual existence of Adam & Eve, I found the crossover to be quite interesting.

My understanding is that Islam and Judaism agree with the Old Testament up to the appearance of Abraham's sons, disagreeing on which, Isaac or Ishmael, was to inherit God's blessings.

    Sorry, all!

It went very well. It was extremely interesting. We all got to read portions of the Seder and the woman running it taught us a lot about what each thing represented. My favorite part was when the matzah was hidden and all of the "kids" (which in that gathering was my husband, 42, myself, 34, and my friend, 30) had to go find it. My friend (Donna) found it and won $20.

I can also tell you that I very much do not like Manischewitz!!!

HAHA! No, it's not very drinkable (unless you're used to it, I guess :D). I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Our church does a seder meal (with explanations) every year, as a recognition of our roots, and I really like it. There's a lot of history and tradition there. This year, LilMan was the Youngest Child & got to ask the four traditional questions, and I was shanghaied to read a passage out of Exodus.

Yep. Jesus is the Prophet Jesus. The first few books of the bible are holy to all three religions, as we all go back to Abraham. It's pretty interesting stuff!

My husband sure liked it!! Though he's Jewish by blood so it must be in his genes!
